Brusha, Brusha, Brusha!

She is a funny little animal.  I've been brushing her teeth more often.  (They crack me up I call them her baby corns, they look just like them!)  I'm a sucker for an underbite!

Late August-

sketchbook painting.
This is the time of year my son was born.
On the cusp of the fall season.
Feels like new beginnings to me.

No Strangers-Just Friends

I love this quote from William Butler Yeats.
(pen, and a little watercolor-voila!)

Farewell, Summer.

And just like that, it was time to head back to school.

Black, white, red & can't help myself-pink!

A little sketchbook play while watching the Olympics.
If been having fun with making two different pieces that work together.
Left side is jelly roll pen, right side is cut paper with a touch of pen.

Magnetic Scenes

About a year I made some magnetic scenes for C.R. Gibson.  This one is all about camping.  I used my handy chalkboard that is also magnetic to draw a quick scene.  Lucky for me I also have forest wallpaper-so it all worked well together!

There's also a Tea Party magnetic scene if camping is not your thing.
(I know it's not always mine :)

August Sun

I can see the hot August sun daily drying out things.
I think it's effected my color palette on this floral.
Don't get me wrong, I love a little vitamin D
but-every year around this time I have to admit I do daydream about fall.

UPDATED Portfolio

Over the past 6 months I've slowly but surely been working on aging up my portfolio.  Don't worry, there's still lots of kid friendly art, along with my hand exploring more mature subject matter like coffee, tea, cocktails, vivid vibrant flowers & much more!
Hope you enjoy taking a look.
