Royal Baby

So by now we've all heard that Kate Middleton & Prince William had their baby.

What a strange thing it must be to share such a personal moment like that with

the world.  Even I felt compelled to make a little sketch of the baby prince.

Inspiring!

There are so many reasons why I love this quote.... one be my dad looks a little like Steve Martin.
For me there is real truth in this quote.  With SO much stuff in the world how do you stand apart?  Something that is an ongoing struggle giving it 100% each time & keeping it authentic to you.  This is a real challenge but such a beautiful balance to strive for.

On a side note... I stumbled upon Parenthood (which came out in 1989) last night.  I haven't seen this movie since I became a parent.  Totally melted me into a mess of tears.  The joy, fear, excitement & unexpected moments that go into having a family.  Thank you Steve Martin! (and Ron Howard)
