Mother Goose Tales

Today I'm sharing my first collection with Windham Fabrics,  Mother Goose Tales.
I'm a bit behind with posting this as my second collection with Windham debuted earlier this month.
(I'll post the new- Color & Count soon!)

I guess I'll start by saying that I like kids products I design to look like they are for kids.  I embrace
color, I love a tried & true theme, a story line & some quirky fun characters- that makes it even better!

Here are a few of my favorite fabrics from the collection.

Hawthorne Threads carries my full Mother Goose line here.

Fat Tuesday!

Who knew when I woke up this morning there would be a Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday parade right outside our door.  This was a lovely surprise & just one more reason we are smitten with our new house & neighborhood!

Think I'll continue the celebration today by working on a Easter piece for Surtex.  Seems fitting.

Lovey, Dovey...

Today I'm posting some more lovey, dovey art inspired by Valentine's Day.

This one is: Everlasting Love

This one is: I love all the pieces of YOU!

This is: Be mine!

*Don't forget Valentine's Day is this Saturday, Feb. 14th
Even the little gesture for the ones you love goes a LONG way!

Spread Love!

Valentines Day is one of those holidays you either love or find totally unnecessary.
I fall in the LOVE category.
I can't think of anything better than spreading a little extra love.
Here are a couple pieces of my art that do just that.

This one is Blue Valentine

This one is Your Love Hits the Spot

Count Down

Hello & Happy Friday!
Some exciting news to share today.
My family has been building a NEW house.
This has been a dream of ours for many years.
(my second half previously worked as an architect)

It turned out to be a two year journey filled with ups, downs
& all sorts of twist & turns.  It's been a real roller coaster ride!
(I tended to avoid roller coasters as a child)

Well, today is MOVING DAY!!!
Hooray, I'm getting off this ride
& plan to enjoy the heck out of our new house.

*I'm looking forward to not hearing that ripping sound of packing tape for a very long time!

February

Here we go the start of a new month!
For me... from now until late July it's full speed ahead.
So many projects coming up over the next 6 months!

Weather wise, February is always cold, dreary and gray in the Midwest.
It's the transitional month when the ground changes with the promise
of spring not fair behind.
