Head Cold

I think I must of caught my son Luca's cold. Today I feel pink & dreamy. Like I'm walking on a big fuzzy cloud with a 20 pound weight on my chest. Tomorrow I'm hoping I'm back to myself.
Sometimes I do tend to think to much so this little break from my mind is nice. (minus the mucus- yuck I know...) I found a piece of art I painted a while back that explains more how I feel today.

St. Patrick's Day

Being Irish how could I not wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day. No plans this year my little Luca is sick with an ear infection. I remember when I was little my Mom making corn beef & cabbage with Irish soda bread every St. Patty's day. This was always a strangely heavy, special treat for me & my 3 brothers.

Hello Spring

Today was grey out but I can see the vibrant pops of new green. To me it's a quiet hello from my long awaited friend Spring.

Blue Transportation

Today a happy surprise that I found in an old sketchbook. My moody blue take on transportation. Painted in gauche.

Really into purple...

Lately I've really been into purple or should I say lavender it's a prettier name.
Maybe I'm sensing the lilacs right around the corner. We have 2 giant lilac bushes in the yard which I plant myself in front of during spring. That's what I miss about living on the east coast... All those amazing flowers that like it a bit cooler-hydrangeas, azalea's lilacs that seem to enjoy it a bit cooler. I can grow lily of the valley (another favorite) so I'm a happy girl.

Hearts a Flutter...

Today I'm posting the birdhouse my sweet husband Antonio made me for Valentines Day. He's the best. He knew I've been wanting a birdhouse for the longest time but couldn't find one I liked. I wanted something that looked like our house but scaled down. This fits the bill. To accompany my birdhouse some appropriate art. This was an old banner we took to Heimtextile.
