My Mother's Day

So Mother's Day was last Sunday making this a bit belated. But a heartfelt Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms & Thank You. For me motherhood was a role I never even began to really understand until I became one. It's demanding, selfless, FULL time, soul searching, & requires patience you don't know you even possessed. With all that it's completely wonderful & the best thing that has happened to me. This year I had a great Mother's Day. Starting off with a pedicure with my Mom (my surprise for her) Then back home where Luca & Antonio greeted me with two beautiful bouquets of flowers. Jam packed full of my favorite. Fragrant lilies & peonies. Luca had made a chalk drawing on our kitchen wall for me (a family portrait he said) We then headed outdoors to tackle a giant blank canvas that's been hanging in our living room for too long. I knew Luca would want to be a part of the painting. We pulled out our old house paint, each of us grabbed a stick & dribbled colors for a good two hours. This was fun for all of use & looks pretty good in the living room. We topped it all off with a pasta dinner on the patio. Truly a wonderful day! Hope yours was too.
