After many years of printing primarily on paper I wanted to see my art on a different material.
(Must be the textile design major in me) So, a few years ago I started to print on cotton & silk with my Epson Stylus Pro 7900. (it's a big standing upright printer)
This week I stumbled on some of those cloth experiments. I don't do it much anymore as the color is never as vibrant as it is on paper. (you need special ink for that)
Color is my sticking point, if it's off I'm off kilter until it's fixed. (yep, I'm one of those people)
I took some of my patterns on cloth to shows but I personally didn't find it translated any better than on paper. It actually confused some buyers.
Nonetheless, it felt good to experiment.
