Poppies

I recently did a studio tidy up & I found this piece-

which I made over 16 years ago.

I've always loved poppies, the vivid color, the black ruffled middle, and especially the 

twisty stems with the soft prickles. (almost like hair)

And who doesn't love those beautiful buds?

Amazing, elegant flowers!
