London

I've never been to London but after the last couple days it's now on the top of my list of places I'd like to go. I'm not a big city girl. I've lived in Manhattan twice & each time leave knowing I need nature around me. So when I think of were I'd like to vacation a city doesn't usually make my list.
I have to say I'm intrigued by London (so much history) & would love to see more. I found a piece in my sketch book I painted about 5 years ago. I guess this city has always been somewhere in my mind. If you live their or have visited what do you like about it? I'm curious.

It is a very busy city, large and noisy and fast moving. There are tourists everywhere, and everyone seems to be in a hurry to get somewhere. When I visit, I am always glad to be on my way home again after a busy day. BUT... there is so much to see there, that it is worth the effort. Many attractions, museums, art galleries, theatres, shops, history, everything you can think of.
I'm probably not the best person to praise London as I prefer quiet and green space!
London has lots to offer if you can embrace the hustle and bustle of a big city.

Makes sense. On our past vacations we'll visit a city for a day or so then drive to a more rural area. Antonio LOVES a big city but he grew up in Santiago. If I know I'm not moving there it's easier for me to enjoy what a city has to offer.

Hi There

I live in Sw London so maybe a bit pro the big city!
The things I love about it our the diverse mix of people, you can do pretty much anything and everything here at what ever time you wish, there is something for all taste, no one is judgemental of who you are or what you want to do, I am lucky as I live in a green leafy part of town so that helps.
I still love the Red Bus and the different types of buildings from all times in history, but I have to say if I go on holiday , I need to go to the country side somewhere else!!!!!!! I also hate that it cost so much to live here and so many people have to share not always such good local services but........
Come visit sure you will have lots of fun,and loads of fab art galleries too!!!!!!!

oh my!!! London is a blast! my hubs & i rented a flat for three weeks last summer (cheaper than a hotel; would cook meals; & do laundry). did you know they have the London Transport Museum? here's the link: http://www.ltmuseum.co.uk/ OH & it's NOT just for kids... learned a lot about the underground, the famous red double-decker buses, and saw a fabulous display of their transportation posters. a must-see.
