Painted Alphabet

Singing the ABC's has become a standard part of our day.  Luca loves songs & can make up to C then hums along the rest of the song with us. (chiming back in at Now I know my A, B, C's...)  I recently painted the alphabet & was happy with how it turned out.  I like the moody ground color with the pops of bright color.  I think it would be a fantastic rug.

Jill, I'm a long-time admirer of your beautiful and funky illustration! It's so playful and deceptively simple, and your patterns are always a treat for the eye. Anyway, I'm an illustrator myself, and I wondered if I could ask you what kind of scanner you are using to scan your artwork? I am trying to get some of my stuff scanned but not having great luck with the colors. I would love to hear more about your process on your blog... thanks for sharing your art with us!

Welcome - Jen Thanks for the lovely comment.
Please do come back for some inspiration!

Hi Hailey...
Thanks to you also for the kind words. Regarding the scanner I use it's nothing fancy. It's an Epson Perfection 2580. (size little bigger than a legal pad)
This means scanning & piecing together... but it works & the quality is pretty good. *That said I always have to color adjust which takes a while. (adjusting brightness/ contrast + hue saturation in photoshop to get it back to were it was pre scan)
Good Luck. Let me know if this helps!
