National Coffee Day

By far my favorite beverage. (even over a glass of red wine)  I adore my coffee!

Here's a really old coffee piece I made.

(Since my early 20's it has been a daily ritual)

I sometimes request my foamed milk in the shape of a heart.

Watched it holding Luca's hand & felt we were all part of

Patterned Trees

Over the years I've painted a lot of versions of patterned trees.  Something I enjoy reinventing over & over. (because I've sold several I have to keep the next rendition different than the past)

Fall is great inspiration for this one!

Bikes!

Bikes are fun to paint!  You can't buy Happiness but you can buy a BIKE.

Warm & Cool, A Little Art...

Today I'm sharing some little art.  It's approx. 2.5 wide so it's quick, easy & nothing to really over think.  I did this to participate in Victoria Johnson's #alittleart project she's featuring on instagram.
I took a hodge podge approach to the materials I used.
It's a collage piece made of:
-tissue paper
-bits of painted & patterned paper (painted with gouache)
-canvas
-glue
-last but not least fun

Because they're so small it goes quickly. (which is why I ended up with 6)

Labor Day!

I'm sometimes asked what inspires me.

I draw much of my inspiration from everyday life.

(that's a good thing because it's readily accessible)

-family

-pets

-nature

-seasons

-differences between one another

-simple interactions

-activities

There's an opportunity to make every day great!  I try to remember that. (some days I muck it up)
