These numbers aren’t plunging
Scary Economic times looming. It’s no longer fun to listen to NPR all day. On that note I thought I’d share some pretty numbers today. They’re bright, bold, optimistic and have strong potential for growth. A good investment! I’m feeling optimistic about the future.
Hope you are too!

Halloween Place Mat available through The Land of Nod
I can't believe it but Halloween is just around the corner. This became a bit
more evident to me when I saw the Spooky Manor place mat I made for
The Land of Nod up on their site. (www.TheLandofNod.com)
The front can be personalized with the family's last name or with
the name of the child.
Little goblins & a few critter friends get ready for a night full of ghoulish fun
on the front while the back of the mat has a fun little tossed pumpkin & leaf pattern. Still thinking what my little goblin will be this year.
*Thanks for the comments on the animal babushkas! So nice to hear your thoughts.

Lovely Day....
The weather outside today is splendid!
A big blue sky, a crisp feel in the air & the surprise of an occasional warm sun ray. Still a few flowers hanging around. I need to remember to enjoy them before they take their long winter nap. This floral border print is fitting for a day like this. Heading out now for some fun in the fresh fall air.

Indigo Show in France
So in just one week Antonio will be showing our collection of work at Indigo in Paris. Sept 23-26 booth number 6Z29. If you’re in the area please stop by we have lots of great new work! I’ll be staying behind with Luca. A long plane ride & 4 full days at a trade show isn’t his kind of thing. Maybe next year!
The print I’m featuring today is a celebration of destinations. Can you think of any others I should
have included?

Happiness Is....
Happiness is a quick pattern. At the studio today. Yes, Saturday trying to finish up lots of odd & ends. Looking out the window & it again feels very much like fall. I came up with this. I love the patterns that just happen with out lots of time or too much thought. Enjoy with a warm cup of coffee. *Hope your weekend is off to great start!

Once upon a time!
Antonio is taking our collection of prints to Paris for a show in about a week now. I’ve been trying to round out the work we’ll take with tried & true themes we always sell. So here I am with a new princess print. I thought since it’s going to France the color should be rich & unique. I also thought the girls should be extra stylish with fun Maria Antoinette details. I have to say this one was a joy to make!

The magic of fall
Fall seems to be showing it’s colors a little earlier here this Year. It’s been Cold, Rainy, a little gray, the spiders have been out spinning their large webs & I just picked up a bunch of Mums over the weekend. Loving color I do enjoy fall. Especially the giant clear Blue sky on those Indian Summer days with pops of foliage in golds & orange. The season to me is as the little illustration says- Full of Magic!

Round and Round Rug
Today I thought I’d share the Round & Round rug I made for The Land of Nod. This will be the first of many more LON items I’ll share as the holidays approach. I think this may be my favorite thing I’ve ever designed. I sent it along in a package for them to review. It was just a quick little painting of colored rings. They had the vision to turn it into a rug which I just love. It’s made of a high, soft quality wool, the colors are just right, it’s simple but interesting, the scale of the dots large enough to feel bold but not too busy. It’s in our landing upstairs at home & it makes me happy every time I pass by.

Now I know my ABC’s
I love letters & handwriting. I always thought of writing as like dancing for you hands. Today I made this alphabet pattern. I created it in Painter, a program I really enjoy as it seems less high tech than other programs. Anyhow... it came together quickly & I think turned out nicely. *Personal FACT: So get this I love letters & writing but can’t spell for the life of me! Thank you spell check...
