Showers to Flowers

Swirling winds & showers– there's only a few day of April left.

Somehow this month has gone fast & slow all at the same time.

It feels a little like being stuck in a dark cloud while we all wait 

for a  r a i n b o w.

Fun anyone?

Despite the challenging times I'm trying to find

ways to have a little fun.

Earth Day

How did you celebrate Earth day?  Yesterday I posted a cover reveal of my next Hello, World!
book Planet Earth on Instagram but,  I forgot to do it here too!  Yikes, I don't want to neglect mother Earth so here I go.... I was excited to write & illustrate this book & share some of what makes the world wonderful to me (and I'm sure many others)  Special places like oceans, savannas, mountains, deserts and forests waiting for us to discover & enjoy!  Also included a few kid friendly maps & and a discussion point for kiddos about how their family helps keep Earth clean.
It's a pretty amazing planet we get to call home.

Spring Bug Scene

Although life is definitely feeling different I'm finding some solace in 

noticing things that are still the same this time of year like...

bugs & blooms.

Keep your eyes open– there's still comfort to be discovered.

Friday Getaway!

We recently discovered a show called Travel Man on Hulu.

It's quickly become a family favorite.

We've enjoyed jet setting around the globe from the safety of our couch.

Soaking up all the different locations & cuisine– in return feeling a little less cooped up.

Tonight we're off to Lisbon, Portugal!

This week I'm looking forward to some consistently warmer weather.

Spring is in the air & while I can't go out I CAN sit on the deck, soak up 

the sun, breathe in the fresh air & watch the birds.

I'm seeing robins everywhere!

Now more than ever....

It's still safe to dig in the dirt.

(Thank goodness!)

Happy Hour

I take a walk everyday for about an hour.

I gather bits of nature, check out the sky, greet birds & squirrels

& come home a little happier with treasures in hand.

These are called muscari & they're one of my early spring favorites.

The remind me of a tiny bunch of grapes.

I particularly enjoy their petite scale!
