Hip, Hip Hooray it's the USA

This is my new map puzzle part of the JM kids line. Each state has been lovingly die cut to it's actual shape, another special detail to help little ones to learn.  The capitals have been labeled along with a couple other fun facts.  Making geography exciting & engaging was the goal.  You can find the puzzle here or in a variety of boutiques across the USA.


I am also offering this print in my Etsy shop.  A fine addition to a playroom, bedroom or classroom.  You never know when you'll learn something new!  I know I did :)

A NEW book!

Today I'm showing one of my new board books, part of the Jill McDonald baby & kids line.
This is a puzzle book that features the special bond between a mommy & her baby.
The baby character is a removable piece that pulls out from the mother.  They are nestled together differently on each spread.

The baby characters are numbered on the back of each (1-5) & puzzle one more time together to create a parade of animal friends.  This is a great exercise in dexterity, matching & sequencing for little ones.

Boy, Oh Boy collection

Over the next couple weeks I will be posting some of my NEW 2014 products that are part of the Jill McDonald baby & kids line.  I am starting with my "Boy, Oh Boy" collection.  This is the perfect gift for a new parent!  Packed full of sweet, enduring art with lots of room for photos & documenting those first special years.

I love the opportunity to create collections of art.  I think of it as a story that unfolds in a fun, surprising way.  I am also so pleased that my art gets to be a part of such special beginnings.  It really is a beautiful thing!

Made With LOVE

I made this painted Valentine several years ago.  It was in an accordion fold format.  I gave it to friends & family with a plate of good old fashioned chocolate chip cookies using my illustrated recipe.
It was a hit but hey... Can you really go wrong with warm cookies?
