SURTEX SHOW

 

 

 I called this print Spring Awakening.  I’ll be exhibiting at SURTEX in NYC May 9-10.  While it doesn’t look quite like this in the city it’s still always a pleasure to visit Manhattan in spring!  If you’re headed to the show, hope to see you there.  If not I hope you’re soaking up the warming weather & all the beauty it brings.

I think of the writing the alphabet as a special dance your hand can do.  This one happens to be embellished with flowers.  

And also ushers in a new month that will bring lots of blooms!

Cut fabric characters.

 

I made this cute crew of cut fabric character a while ago & recently sold & sent the originals to a client. 

I had scanned each one in & separated it into layers but making it digital lost some of it’s original charm so I wanted the client to have both on hand.

Before saying goodbye I made sure to take some pics!
