My Valentine

I made the black card for Antonio for our first Valentine's day. I knew then he was different than the usual guy I would date right away. I am happy to say 9 years later I still feel the same way! (if not even more) I've made him a Valentine every year since. This year I made him "You are my anchor" (pretty true) Unfortunately for him, being married to an artist with a blog means he occasionally has to put up with me posting personal things. *I'll try to make it a once a year thing!

Sunlit

Gigi took these pictures of Luca in the car on the way to a Super Bowl party. He's a pretty boy & a momma's boy. I love both those things about him. My little ray of happiness!

A Little Book of Animals

Last year I made this Little Book of Animals. A wee sized book at just 3 x 3" I stumbled upon it today while looking for something else. Made me smile so I decided to share.

5 Good Things.

5 good things about today:
-I woke up to a thunder storm (love that).
-At breakfast Luca finished his whole bowl of oatmeal (a first).
-Tonight is date night.
-I know it won't be much longer until spring flowers begin to sprout.
-It's FRIDAY!
Hope you have a great weekend.

Punxsutawney Phil

About a week ago I took a two day illustrator course. Illustrator is a program I've been meaning to learn for years now. Like anything new (and especially with me...) it doesn't always come quickly. I've been setting aside about an hour a day to play around. Today's exercise was for Groundhog's day. In case you haven't heard yet Phil saw his shadow. "Many shadows I do see: six more weeks of winter it must be." Since I was a little girl I've held a curious fascination with Groundhog's Day. Who ever imagined that a bunch of older men in an annual ceremony decked out in top hats would predict the end of winter based upon a tiny rodents shadow? So wonderfully bizarre.
