With the start of spring I'm seeing all sorts of creepy, crawly bugs appear. This is an older piece I've always like featuring a variety of bugs.

I LOVE Boston
Like most people I was glued to the news coverage of last weeks events in Boston. My brothers family lives in there. (safe and sound) Going to school not that far away from Boston I have nothing but the best memories of this wonderful, historical city. My heart & best wishes to every Bostonian!

My Baby Brother
My baby brother (I have 3 brothers. I'm the only girl & the oldest) got married over Easter weekend in New Orleans. I had never been to NOLA & the city took my breath away. After the big I DO's we got to march in a second line parade around the city. Looking back at the pictures makes me smile & will continue to for years to come.
What I loved:
1. Glitter in the cracks of the street
2. color, warmth & worn look
3. music in the streets (really GREAT music!)
4. rich, beautiful architecture, roof top views
5. beignets & coffee (any time of the day)
6. the food! If you go try "The Court of Two Sisters" memorable/ amazing!
7. brightly painted shutters
8. the smell of wisteria in the air (around Easter)
9. living in the moment
10. iron work
11. street performers & the mix of interesting people
12. Being called "darling"

Something Sweet for Something GOOD!
Because of this, several years ago I started trying to find out more about Parkinson's. The Michael J. Fox Foundation is a wonderful resource & leader in research for a cure. They recently teamed up with Magnolia Bakery (the yummiest place in N.Y.) to create the official MJFF cupcake. Available in both chocolate & vanilla you can purchase online or any local store. Each cupcake is $3.75 & $1.75 of each purchase goes directly to PD research. A sweet way to do something good!

Pattern
On that note... Here's a little something I did give myself a bit of time to play with.
When thinking of things I love pattern & color always are at the top of the list!
