NEW niece & nephew

February brought me a new niece & nephew!  My sister in law & brother both welcomed new members to the family.  Each live in different states so there's been no in person meeting but lots of pictures.  Today I'm showing the cards I've made for them.  I taped a large page of patterns & painted swatches together. Then cut out each family member. (thinking cut from the same cloth) Such fun to watch our family grow.  Welcome Esme & Parker!

Lucha libre

Luca recently saw a Mexican wrestler on tv.  This brief encounter blew his mind... the mask, the high flying maneuvers, the theatrics of it all.  I decided to paint him a picture of his new fascination. The world is a wonderful place filled with all sort of macho surprises.

Snow Day!

We are currently in the thick of a snowstorm!  It is not everyday around here that we get up to 15" of snow!  Personally, I'm not into snow at all... but, my boys are thrilled with this so it's doable.  I've been needing to start a new USA map project for a while now.  (always an ambitious endeavour) Today seems like the perfect day to dive in. I'll set myself up by the window, make a cup of tea & get going.
